data science and maths undergrad turned ph.d. student, in a long love-hate relationship with maths. mainly interested in representation learning and code intelligence — how models understand structure, and what breaks when you take that structure away.

currently a ph.d. student in computer science at tecnológico de monterrey, working on structure-aware code retrieval: dual-tower contrastive models that keep finding the right function even when every identifier has been renamed.

before that i spent 2026 at Solidigm building ML ensembles for SSD firmware log anomaly detection and shipping MCP servers into engineers’ editors, and 2025 at Functionize on agentic-AI dashboards and natural-language database querying.
